Bill has over 35 years of actuarial experience in the financial services industry covering a wide variety of fields.
As group chief actuary at Tawa, Bill is responsible for all actuarial aspects of the group’s activities including due diligence of potential mergers or acquisitions, and analysis and pricing of restructuring solutions for legacy portfolios. He has led the group’s development of Solvency II modeling capabilities, including parameterisation.
Additional responsibilities include quality control and sign off of the reserving for all companies in the group and the provision of third party consultancy services, including APH reserving analyses and general reserving.
Bill was previously the chief actuary for a leading managing agent before becoming the first Lloyd's Actuary where he was responsible for regulating and monitoring the syndicates’ reserving, and performing analysis on returns and overall Lloyd’s reserving position.
Bill is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
